Election Notice of Voting by Absentee Ballots

Any voter who requires assistance with mailing or delivering their absentee ballot to the municipal clerk because of blindness, disability, or inability to read or write must be permitted to receive such assistance by a person of the voter’s choice, other than the voter’s employer or agent of that employer or officer or agent of the voter’s union. This includes having a third-party return their absentee ballot to the clerk, in-person or through the mail.

Election Duties

  • Arrange for polling places and recruit, train, and supervise poll workers
  • Deliver the election results to the County Clerk
  • Inform the public of all presidential, state, and local elections along with state and referendum voting
  • Perform the duties required by Wisconsin State Statute relating to elections including overseeing the election process
  • Prepare official Board of Canvas Statement relating to election results
  • Provide for absentee ballots and supplies required for the conduct of elections
  • Record update voter registration information
  • Serve on the Board of Canvassers for local elections
  • Test the I.C.E. tabulating equipment
