One of the primary goals of the Hartford Area Development Corporation (HADC) is to
encourage the expansion of existing industry and commerce within the City of Hartford and
to attract additional industrial, commercial and residential development. To these ends,
the Hartford Area Development Corporation offers a range of support services and
assistance programs, including financing and funding alternatives, to accommodate the
needs of growth-oriented businesses and industries.

HADC markets the 540 acre Dodge Industrial Park for the
City of Hartford. It helps companies with financial assistance and owns and operates in
partnership with the Hartford Community Development Corporation the 44,000 square-foot
Hartford Innovation Center, a business incubator. It has a revolving loan fund. Up to
$75,000 can be borrowed to buy land, construct buildings or purchase capital equipment.
HADC's Land Acquisition Financing Program helps companies purchase land in HADC industrial
parks on an interest-free basis. The HADC also arranges access to City and County
Revolving Loan Funds (Block grants), State economic development funding, conventional
local financing and community sponsored Industrial Revenue Bonds.

Founded in 1852, Wisconsin Gas is the
state's oldest and largest natural gas utility serving 536,000 customers throughout the
state, and delivering about 40 percent of all gas used state-wide.
Based in Milwaukee, the
company's largest concentration of customers is located in Southeastern Wisconsin,
including the metro Milwaukee area. The company also operates from 10 locations throughout
the state. The company employs about 1,000 people.
Wisconsin Gas is a subsidiary of the
publicly-held, Milwaukee-based Wisconsin Energy Corporation, www.wisenergy.com (symbol:

Wisconsin Energy operates energy and
manufacturing businesses. The energy businesses are: Wisconsin Electric,
Wisconsin Gas, WICOR Energy, FieldTech, Power Now! and Wisconsin Gas Water Services.
Wisconsin Electric is the largest electric utility in the state. WICOR Energy sells
natural gas purchasing, energy and price risk management services. Field Tech provides
competitively priced installation, training, project management and consulting services
for automatic and manual meter reading systems to public and municipal gas, water and
electric utilities in the United States and Canada. Power Now! provides emergency electric
generators for homes and businesses. Wisconsin Gas Water Services distributes water and
does contract water main repair work for municipalities. Manufacturing units include
Sta-Rite, Shurflo and Hypro pump companies.
